Review : Garnier Light Complete Night Restore Cream

Hello!

Product Type Moisturizer
Price RM 23.90
Size 50ml

Description

The association of potent ingredients : Pure Lemon Essence, Long Dan Extract and Vitamin C help restore skin radiance overnight, reduce dark spots and boost healthy glow. Wake up to a fresh and fairer skin in the morning.

Colour White
Texture creamy, oily
Smell strong lemony scent
Stickiness moderate, very oily

I use this as a night moisturizer. It is extremely moisturizing and oily, which isn't good for my acne prone skin. My oily t-zone combined with this oily cream only gave me more pimples. Its lemony scent is pretty strong. I do not think my face has become brighter nor have my spots faded.

Since I couldn't use it on my face, I used it on my very very dry feet and hands and it is fantastic! :D My hands and feet are very moisturized and very smooth the next day! I love it so much more as a body moisturizer rather than a face moisturizer, haha. It may not be suitable for oily/acne prone skin. However, those of you with dry skin can give this a try :)

☼ very moisturizing
☼ great as body moisturizer
 made me break out
☀ too oily
☀ scent is too strong

I would not repurchase this due to the oiliness :(
1 snowman because it is great for my dry hands and feet :D

Review : Garnier Sakura White Pinkish Radiance Moisturizing Cream SPF21/PA+++

Hello!

Product Type Moisturizer + sun protection
Price RM 24.90
Size 50ml

Description

New Garnier Sakura White Pinkish Radiance Moisturizing Cream is enriched with Sakura Extract - a gentle but powerful ingredient from Japan. This delicate pinkish cream with a blend of Sakura Extracts, Vitamin B3 and Vitamin CG nourishes skin deeply and helps lighten skin tone and dark spots, refines skin texture, and smoothen pores. The formula is suitable even for sensitive skin.

Colour Pale pink
Texture creamy, powdery
Smell strong floral/powdery scent
Stickiness low

I use this product in the morning after toner. The scent is floral/powdery and quite strong. This moisturizer isn't sticky at all which is great. However, if too much product is applied, it will become difficult to spread evenly as white streaks will appear and when it does, it isn't easy to rub off. I have tried it for a few days yet I still always get streaks. It takes a lot of time (and concentration!) to get rid of the streaks otherwise I can't possibly leave the house!

I'm not so sure about its moisturizing powers though. And I don't know if I am actually protected from the sun :/ It is especially upsetting when I bought this because it has integrated sun protection :(

☼ not sticky
☼ pretty colour
☀ scent if too strong
☀ creates white streaks
☀ not moisturizing nor does it protect me from the sun

I will not repurchase this because, in my opinion, it doesn't do what it claims and the streaking really is a problem for me!

HOTEL
The Golden Roof Hotel (link)
☼ very very affordable
☼ great location (below 15 minutes to town for food and Lost World, around 5 minutes to Aeon)
☼ clean
☼ good service by staffs
☼ every floor has a hot/cold water dispenser in the lobby/main area
☼ if you spend above RM100 for the hotel, you will get a free 45 minutes foot massage from the massage centre on the ground floor
☼ pretty bathroom with rain shower :D
☼ has wifi in every room :DDD
☼ has elevator
☀ changed room twice - first, we checked in earlier than the time specified and were given a room that wasn't cleaned. therefore, they changed a room for us. second, the lights in the toilet suddenly did not work and they have no technician at night so we had to change rooms.
☀ even though we hung the 'please do not disturb' sign, the cleaner still came into our room. fortunately, nothing got lost :D
☀ no refrigerator and kettle/tea-making facilities (not unexpected for a budget hotel. I don't mind as they provide a water dispenser :D)

FOOD
Lou Wong Beansprout Chicken Rice

☼ not bad - better than average steamed chicken, but not super tasty
☼ we were given a 10% discount voucher for Lou Wong Confectionery that sells Ipoh specialties like biscuits and coffees.
☼ Iced barley was pretty good!
☼ quick service
☀ quite expensive for chicken rice

Healy Mac's Irish Restaurant & Bar

☼ food was not bad (chicken breast was good :D chicken panini average only. I couldn't taste the chicken and the bread was kinda burnt and very hard)
☀ very expensive!
☀ quite a long wait

Thean Chun Coffee Shop

☼ Chee cheong fun was delicious but portion was very big, deardear couldn't finish it
☀ Curry noodles was average only, I struggled to finish it
☀ Famous caramel custard was not as good as I thought it would be :(

Lunch at Lost World of Tambun

☼ grilled chicken was not bad
☀ chicken burger was bad - very dry
☀ expensive (expected it since it was in the park itself)

Johnny's Restaurant
this restaurant can be found in most shopping malls so I will not elaborate on this

Chuen Fong 'Restoran Xin Quan Fang'

☼ superb superb curry noodles and white coffee! :D There were chicken and pork slices in the bowl of noodles. They were very tasty as well. White coffee was thick, creamy and full of flavour :D

Funny Mountain Soya Bean

☼ tastes pretty good
☼ funny name HAHAHA :D
☀ ridiculously sweet! waaayyyy too sweet!

ATTRACTIONS
Kellie's Castle

very interesting, with info boards in each room/area
☀ wear stable shoes as the floor is uneven. There are steep and narrow staircases as well.

Lost World of Tambun

☼ worthwhile as there were many attractions! Water park, hot springs, theme park, tiger valley, tin mining valley, petting zoo!
☼ lots of interesting and cute animals! RACCOON! :D
☼ tiger feeding show with other animals was extremely cute and interesting!
☼ there are mini buses that travels around the park with introductions of each attraction (people hop on and off to get to destinations :D)
☼ for sliding water games, tubes are provided. So, you don't need to rent a tube
☼ there are hot springs, steam cave, jacuzzi and foot spa which are all filled with hot water up to 45C!
☀ not many rides for the theme park. Roller coaster wasn't fast nor exciting.
☀ there weren't that many things to play for the water park
☀ locker was a bit tedious to use (many lockers controlled by one electronic machine - has to wait for quite a while if there are many people. not to mention that the machine is pretty lag)

Gua Tempurung

☼ very interesting - everyone should go at least once in their lives in my opinion :D
☀ do wear comfortable shoes as you have to climb up and down many manyyyy flights of stairs! for tour 1 and 2 (dry), you can wear slippers. but for tour 3 and 4 (wet), no slippers are allowed
☀ certain areas are pretty dark (there are lights in there) so it will be wise to have a source of light to light your way (phone flashlight/torch light)

Overall I had a great time there! We had tons of fun and great food. The air is very fresh and the scenery is great! :D

dermatologically tested and approved

Directions

In your hands, work a small amount into a lather. Massage onto wet skin, rinse with water. If wash gets into your eyes rinse thoroughly with water.

Ingredients
Aqua, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Propolene Glycol, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Sodium Chloride, Panthenol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Pantolactone, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate.

Colour Clear
Texture gel with light bubbles
Smell Scentless
Squeekiness low

I use this product every morning and night. I lather a bit of this cleanser with water to produce bubbles and apply in circular motion onto wet face. Finally, I rinse off the cleanser with water at least 7 times.

I like this cleanser. It makes my skin clean without the tight feeling. My skin does not feel dry. It doesn't really have any particular scent. In my opinion, it foams better with a bit more water. The bubbles produced are light, unlike these particular juju and neutrogena cleanser, which produces thicker, denser foam. I personally prefer lighter textured bubbles. I think a tube can last pretty long. I like this product because it clears up my pimples and doesn't dry my skin out which is great! It also wasn't expensive!

☼ clean without the tight feeling
☼ skin isn't dried out
☼ a little lathers up well
☼ lasts pretty long
☼ cheap
☼ clears up pimples!
NO CONS that I can think of :D

I would repurchase this but I also would like to try out other cleansers :)

Review : Kuan Yuan Lian Aloe Eye Gel

Hello!

Product Type Eye gel
Price USD 8.60 (sasa.com)
Size 40ml

Description (taken from sasa)

Kuan Yuan Lian Aloe Eye Gel is enriched with hydrating and nourishing ingredients such as glycerine, aloe extract, hyaluronic acid, matricaria extract and Vitamin E. The eye gel leaves your eye contour bright and supple. Light texture gel does not create an unpleasant feeling of greasiness for skin.

Directions (taken from sasa)

After cleansing, gently apply the eye cream.

Ingredients

Deionized water, glycerine, carotene, hyaluronic acid, aloe extract, matricaria extract, vitamin e, methyl lisothiazolinone, fragrance

Colour White
Texture gel, creamy
Smell light aloe scent
Stickiness moderate

I use this product every day and night after applying serum and before moisturizer. I apply a little to the eye area and begin to dab it for absorption.

Immediately after using this eye cream, my fines line are less visible temporarily. Eye are is moisturized. No changes to dark eye circles though. Sometimes (usually :/ ) I apply too much and my eye area feels pretty oily and slick. It takes some time to absorb fully. After some time, I notice bumps around my eyes which I think are oil/milia seeds. Since then, I have stopped using this product. I think it is very cheap for such a big tub of eye cream. It can last for a very long time for sure!

☼ moisturizing
☼ cheap
☼ diminishes fine lines immediately
☀ fine lines reduced temporarily only
☀ can be oily and sticky when too much product is applied
☀ causes bumps/oil/milia seeds

I will not repurchase this although it is cheap because it causes bumps/oil/milia seeds (?) :(
