This is my first facial brush. I didn't want to spend too much on the Olay Pro-X Cleansing System (RM100++) in case I didn't like it. And I certainly cannot afford Clarisonic T.T So I bought this brush from koreadepart for only USD 3.80 which is roughly RM 12. I wouldn't mind spending RM 12 to try this out ;)
Although the instructions say to use the brush to lather up foam, I personally think that only works for foam cleansers (those cleansers that come out of a pump already as dense bubbles, not the type that you need to lather yourself). When I follow the instructions with normal foaming cleansers, I couldn't create any bubbles no matter how much I tried to lather it.
Therefore, I lather the cleanser with my hands and apply bubbles onto my face. Then, I use the brush on my face in circular motion for about 1 minute - approximately 12 seconds for each part of my face (forehead, cheeks, nose, chin). After that, I place the brush under running water to clean it and place it on its cap/stand. Finally, I rinse my face with water at least 7 times. One thing I noticed is that no matter how much foam I lather, eventually it will just trickle down the brush (see pic above).
After using it for around 1 week, I felt that the brush was a bit too harsh for my skin. It made my skin super squeaky clean with my moderate squeakiness cleanser. I think my skin was also a bit dry after using this. I also had more tiny pimples.
All in all, I do not recommend getting this brush. However, if you would like to try out a facial brush for the first time, you could get this as it is cheap online. If you think you have thick skin, you can try this too, haha! :D
☼ cute packaging
☀ breaks me out
☀ too harsh
☀ drying
Will definitely never repurchase this!
